Inga Woestmann
March 25th, 1934 - December 15th, 2019
Mrs. Inga Woestmann (Hoerner) passed away with her family and Father Malloy in the comfort of her home on December 15, 2019 in Seminole, Florida at the age of 85. Inga is survived by her husband of 61 years, Fred; children; Fred, Linda, Henry and Karen; grandchildren; John, Claire, Michael, Kyle, Jillian, Kassidy; and great grandchild; Ella. Inga was born on March 25, 1934 in Bad Canstadt, Germany to Hugo and Maria Hoerner. She moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA from Stuttgart, Germany in 1949 at the young age of 15. She graduated Valedictorian from Girls Technical School in 1954 with a curriculum in English and Accounting. After graduation from Girls Technical School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Inga began working for Sealtest Dairy Company as a cost accountant and purchaser. Inga was married to Fred, who she met in Milwaukee in 1956 and married in 1958. Over the period from 1959 to 1970, the couple welcomed four children into their life and during that time settled in St. Petersburg, Florida. By 1972 the Woestmann family began to take annual trips to Lake Nantahala in the Mountains of Western North Carolina. By the early 1990’s they moved to Lake Nantahala to spend their Golden Years together. Her children and grandchildren remember her as a loving and kind mother who was always supportive and encouraged them to pursue their goals in life. She was a caring and dedicated individual who loved caring for everyone in her presence and was passionate about gardening, baking and tending to the birds and dogs around her. In addition to her caring nature, she had a wonderful sense of humor. A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 noon, January 25, 2020 at Reese Funeral Home with a reception to follow at Shores of Long Bayou Clubhouse. Father Francis Malloy will officiate her services. All are welcome to attend in memory of Inga’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Suncoast Hospice “Purple Team” in Memory of Inga Woestmann. The family would like to thank her caregivers for their exceptional care and dedication.
