Ione E. Lyman, 99, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Deerfield Beach, FL. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1976 from her native Milwaukee, WI where she was a music teacher for many years and a band director. One of her favorite instruments was the Banjo and she was one of the few women Banjo players in the country. One of the highlights of her career was the opportunity to appear on stage with Eddie Peabody. In St. Petersburg, she was a well known musical entertainer. She is survived by her son, Robert J. Labby of Coconut Creek, FL and his husband Manfred Wegscheider. She was predeceased by her parents, Otto and Elsie "Dolly" Brauchle. Interment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI. $(document).ready(function(){ });
