Ira Thomas Baker
February 12th, 1933 - April 24th, 2020
Tom Baker, 87, husband of Christine York Baker, passed away suddenly Friday, April 24, 2020. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, he was born on February 12, 1933 to the late Thomas R. and Virginia Parke Baker. Mr. Baker was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Kentucky Lighting and Supply. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Gary (Debbie) Norsworthy, Greg (Leslye) Norsworthy, Gail (Dan) Chapman, David Baker, and Greta (Jeff) Boling; sisters, Barbara (Bob) Corneilson and Patricia Kropp; brothers, Donald (Phyllis) Baker and Kenneth (Marilyn) Baker; grandchildren, Angela Baker-Bushey, Leanne Baker, Jessica Cottrell, Adam Norsworthy, Kyle Norsworthy, Lindsay Montgomery, Brian Baker, Lauren Barnett, Cagney Meek, Luke Alford, Christina Mudd, Chelsea Norsworthy, Tyler Boling, Luke Howery and Conner Norsworthy. He is preceded in death by his son, Norman Baker; and his brothers, Bill, Jim, Charles and Richard Baker. Due to the restrictions of Covid-19 virus, services will be private. Those who wish to support the family can participate in the Hugs from Home program on our home page. Mr. Baker’s service will be streamed live on our Facebook page - Clark Legacy Center on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 2:00PM. For family and friends that wish to watch the Military Honors in person may do so in the parking lot of the funeral home. Please stay in your car the entire time.
