Ira Fox, 70, of Palm Bay, FL passed away on April 19th, after a short battle with lung cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. Ira was born in Vincennes, IN on June 9, 1949 to Charles Prentice and Hiley Ruth Fox. After graduating Lincoln High School in 1969, he joined the Army and was stationed in Korea then Ft. Bliss, El Paso, Texas. After discharge he joined the Vincennes Police Department from 1977 - 1980. He and his family moved to Melbourne, FL where he was employed by Triple T Hotels, Inc. at various locations including Cocoa Beach Hilton (for a total of 17 years). He was employed by Brevard County School from 2007-2017, and retired as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was married to Catherine Morning, and had two children, Christina and Bryon. Ira was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Mary(Cannon), and his brothers, Prentice Jr., and Henry. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Morning), his brothers, Gene and Richard (Linda) and his sisters, Julia (Crisco), Janet (John) Wayman, Carol (Gary) Richter and his three grandchildren, Jarin, Alyssa and Faith. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, no services will be held at this time.
