Obituary for: Ira Carl Thomas Ira Carl Thomas, age 86, of Clewiston, passed away October 5, 2010 in Clewiston, FL. He was born Feb. 20, 1924 in Hoboken, Georgia the son of the late Ira and Ivory (Brooker) Thomas. Mr. Thomas married Irma Jean Wildes He served in the United States Navy He was a Superintendent for U.S. Sugar Corporation for many years before retiring. Survivors include his wife: Irma Jean (Wildes) Thomas two daughters: Sharon Bell, Carlette Redish and one brother: Ray Thomas and one sister: Margaret Pullian, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Fri. October 8, 2010 at 11:00 am in First Baptist Church Of Clewiston, 102 East Ventura Avenue, Clewiston with Rev. Bill Derryberry and Dr. Todd Buck officiating. Interment was in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clewiston. Visitation was Thursday from 5-7 pm in Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston, FL. Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Clewiston.
