Irene Othella Barnette, 90, of Weber City, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Nova Health and Rehab. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Carl Hill; brother, James “Junior” Barnette; sister, Patsy Joan Jones. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Hill of Yuma, VA, Janet Gilliam and husband Bill, of Gate City, VA, Steve Hill and wife Vicki and Lisa Odom and husband Mike, both from Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Jeff Hill (Donna), Jason Hartgrove, Amy Pendleton (Darrin), Lindsay Hill and Amy Odom; great grandchildren, Chandler Hill (Krista), Olivia Hill, Eli Hill, Chloe Hill and Chandler Pendleton; , Andrew Pendleton, Katie Pendleton and Savannah Hartgrove, Kaden Burton, Mallery Burton and Madison Burton; brother, Louey Barnette (Sharon); sister, Kathy Coleman; along with several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Hill-Carter Cemetery, Duffield, VA with Pastor Vernon McDavid officiating. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12pm to go in procession. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.scottcountyfuneralhome.com.
