Irene McFadden

Irene McFadden Irene Marie McFadden of Junction City, Oregon died on May 9, 2013 at the age of 90 of complications of leukemia. She was born September 1, 1922 in San Jose, CA to James Charles and Helen Walker. Upon graduating high school, she worked for a telephone company as a telephone operator. At the age of 20, she met and married Warren Nunnelley. They were blessed with three children, two sons Ladd and Robert, and a daughter Marianne. Warren then passed away on October 1, 1967. In January 21, 1952 she married James Robert Lhamen, born to them a daughter Linda. In 1958 the family moved to Yoncalla, Oregon and bought a cattle ranch, with a bean field which the family worked for many years. Unfortunately James passed away on September 7, 1981. She then moved with her son Ladd to Eugene, Oregon where she met and married Lane McFadden on October 30, 1984. Lane passed away on October 31, 2008. Irene then moved in with her daughter Marianne and remained there until her passing. Irene’s hobbies were playing the organ, sewing, knitting and gardening. Survivors include son Robert and wife Mary of Vancouver, WA, and two daughters Marianne Woods and husband Steven of Junction City, OR and Linda Bunce and her husband Leon of Sutherlin, OR; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church in Junction City on May 18, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by a rosary at 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, and burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Rest Lawn Cemetery in Junction City. Online condolences can be made at www.musgroves.com.
