Iris Moore Noble (91) passed away her at home on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Golden, Colorado. She was born August 9, 1924 to Walter Harvey Moore and Rachel Eleanor Hayes Moore in Spanish Fork, Utah. Iris was raised in Spanish Fork, the youngest of 8 children. She graduated from Brigham Young University in Food Science and Nutrition. During World War II, she worked at Geneva Steel as a secretary. After graduation, she worked as a Utah State Home Demonstration agent in Cedar City, Utah where she met Myrvin E. Noble. They were married June 27, 1949 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. Myrvin's work with the Bureau of Land Management took them from Utah to northern Virginia and finally to Denver, Colorado. Because of this, Iris and Myrvin's family enjoyed traveling to see many wonders of this nation. Iris enjoyed cooking, reading, knitting and flowers. She was proficient with her sewing skills. She said that she never got to go to the White House for a party, but her sewing did. She gave a life's worth of service in various callings in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS). She served for many years in leadership positions including the Primary (children's organization) and the Relief Society (woman's organization). She enjoyed serving as a Stake Missionary and a Public Affairs Specialist after her husband passed away. She also volunteer her time to the Red Cross. She joined the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (DUP) and loved to share her pioneer heritage with others in that organization. She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Verl) Soderquist, of Rexburg, Idaho, son, Roger L Noble, of Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter, Mary Lou (David) Jespersen, of Conifer, Colorado, son, David J (Marietje) Noble, of Plymouth, Michigan, 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, all of her siblings and their spouses and a great granddaughter preceded her in death. The viewing will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the LDS Chapel at 32nd and McIntyre in Golden, Colorado. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM. Those wishing, may contribute in Iris's name to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
