Irvin LeRoy Ingalls Irvin LeRoy Ingalls passed away October 11, 2012 in Centralia, Washington, at the age of 82. He was born June 17, 1930 to William Henry Ingalls, Jr. and Anona Eliza Ballard Ingalls in (South Cottonwood) Murray, Utah. Over his lifetime, Irvin also lived in Tacoma, Gig Harbor and Port Angeles, Washington; Juneau, Alaska; Fruitland, Idaho; and for the last seven years, in Glenoma, Washington. He graduated from Tacoma’s Lincoln High School, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954. He married L. Joan Paskins and they welcomed 6 children into their family. He later married Fern A. Nichols. Professionally, Irvin was a lithographer. He, with Fern, also served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Houston, Texas. Irvin was known for his great dependability and as a jack-of-all-trades. He loved fixing all kinds of things and making them work again. Hunting and fishing with friends and relatives was a welcome relaxation and diversion. He is survived by his wife, Fern A. Ingalls; sons, W. Michael Ingalls (Mt. Dora, Florida), Raymond M. Ingalls (Bothell, Washington), and Gary L. Ingalls (Las Vegas, Nevada); daughters, Pam Matson (Issaquah, Washington), Gayle Ingalls (Everett, Washington), and Sheila States (Snohomish, Washington); 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sister, Beth Chipman. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wm.Vernet Ingalls, Ralph D. Ingalls, and Dale L. Ingalls. Please leave memories of Irvin or condolences for the family in the Guestbook below.
