Isabel Ruth Bratton

Isabel Ruth Bratton, 85, of Greeley, CO passed away February 6, 2013 at Kenton Manor in Greeley. She was born October 22, 1927 in rural Russell, Kansas to Frederick and Helena (Deines) Dietz. At age 6 the family moved to Wakeeney, KS where she attended a one room school house. At age 12 the family moved to Eaton, CO, where Isabel attended Eaton schools and graduated in 1945 from Eaton High School. In 1949 she married Leo Ernest Milnek that marriage ended in a divorce. On May 25, 1956 in El Reno, OK, Isabel married Henry Trammell Bratton. Henry preceded her in death in 1968 and Isabel and the children moved back to Greeley. Isabel worked in retail for many years and later worked at Greeley National Bank also known as Affiliated National Bank for 23 years, retiring in 1992. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to knit and designed many sweaters for the family. She made and gave away 400 pair of mittens to small children and also made and gave away many slippers. She is survived by her children, Pete (Danielle) Bratton of Greeley and Suzanne Frantz of Greeley; grandchildren, Brittany Martinez of Greeley, Marissa Ciambotti of Hawaii, Elizabeth Bratton of Boulder, Cassandra Bratton of Loveland, Christopher Bratton of Greeley, Bethany Bratton of Greeley, and Mitchell Printz of Greeley; four great grandchildren; a brother, Alfred "Lefty” (Sharon) Dietz of Easly, SC; and a son-in-law, Mick Printz. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; daughter, Lisa Printz; and two sisters, Elnora Willmann and Leila Lundberg. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., on Monday, February 11, at First Presbyterian Church, 1321 9th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631.
