Iva Elinor Ruth

Iva E. Ruth passed away at home on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at the age of 82 after an extended battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scotty, of 36 years and a son, Wally. She is survived by her son Jim (Pam) and daughters Janet Morgan and Karen Mouer (Jonathan) along with 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Iva was a life-long resident of Maricopa County, Arizona, and lived in Peoria (graduating from Peoria High School), Chandler, and Gilbert. She was a strong, principled woman who, as a wife and a mother, raised her family in the Christian faith and supported her husband"s role in the church and his work in education. She had a way of helping others and continued doing so after Scotty"s death by working on a multitude of quilts at the Gilbert Museum. Services will be at her church, Pima Canyon Church, 9807 S 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85044, on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Visiting with family will start at 5:30pm with the service beginning at 6:30pm. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven cemetery later in the week.
