Iver Mickelson

Iver Mickelson, 48, passed away in Boulder Colorado May 31, 2016 of a heart attack . He was born to Louis J. Mickelson and Doris F. (Nielson) Mickelson on June 13, 1967. He attended Washington High School, Sioux Falls, SD and Graduated from South Dakota State in Brookings SD with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following college, Iver worked for the US Mint in Denver, CO, and for the last 9 years worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Ball Aerospace in Boulder. Iver is survived by his mother, Doris Mickelson and sister, Christine Mickelson, both of Sioux Falls, SD; his Aunt and Uncle Carolee and Len Faanes, Dana Point CA; Joanne and Dennis Nordstrom, Orange CT, Julie and Terry Hutchison, Garretson, SD, Patricia Mickelson and Joseph Drach, Reddick, FL, Cindee and Allan Wagner, Makanda, IL, David and Lou Mickelson, Vernal, UT; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Mickelson of Sioux Falls, SD; Grandparents Floyd and Helen Mickelson, Bushnell, SD, Grandparents Clarence H. and Edna Nelson, Irene, SD and his Aunt and Uncle Aneta and Jerry Hicks Yankton, SD. A time of Gathering and Viewing will be held from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home Chapel. 503 Terry St., Longmont, CO. He will be brought back to Sioux Falls, SD for burial at a later date Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
