The Lord called home both Jack and Deone Knight of Santa Cruz, CA. They passed 6 months apart to the day in 2024. They were married for 63 years.
Jack was a high school and college football legend at Santa Cruz High, Cabrillo College and Fresno State. He then continued his athletic path to pass on his love for football and all sports, teaching P.E. at Soquel High for 26 plus years, making a significant impact on many of his students to this day.
Deone Knight was known for her friendly warm loving spirit, her support for her husband Jack, and their 4 daughters Lori, Cindy, Kristan, and K.D; granddaughters Dani and Mica. They are also survived by son in law’s Gabrielle, Nik and Dave; Jack’s sister Joanne; and nieces Stacy and Cori.
Jack and Deone always stayed close with their forever friends and were always a phone call away for a hike, a game of golf, football get together, or a trip to Tahoe.
Please join the family for the Celebration of Life and Prayer at Twin Lakes Church on Monday, October 7th from 11 to 2pm. Refreshments, a light lunch and good stories to follow.
