Jack John Darvill

John Darvill (better known as Jack), a wonderful husband, father, friend, leader, mentor, musician and educator passed away peacefully in his sleep at home from congestive heart failure at the age of 86 on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 4:40 am. He will be greatly missed, but he left behind a legacy of humor, stories, music, accomplishments and an unparalleled love for his beautiful wife of 63 years and best friend, Marian Patricia Darvill (née McComb). His ohana includes son, Tom Darvill (Jackie), daughter Nancy Lee (Michael), daughter Kathy Smith (Barry), as well as four wonderful grandsons Jon Darvill (Carsie), Alex Lee, Jameson Lee and Will Darvill. He was very proud of the 25 years he served at the Kamehameha Schools and all of the students, faculty, parents and alumni he was privileged to know. Please take a moment today to remember him and smile when you think of your own personal favorite "Jack Darvill" encounter. He was one of a kind. Always a gentleman.
