Jack Garlich Jack Garlich died peacefully June 25, 2013 in Olympia, Washington at the age of 90. Jack was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Gretchen and Jack Garlich. He grew up in the Midwest and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in accounting. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed being in the mountains, backpacking and climbing with family and friends. Other avid interests he had where following the stock market, tennis and dancing. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. He is survived by his daughters, Emily Garlich of Shelton, Washington, Elizabeth Huxter of Grand Forks, British Columbia; son, John Garlich of Boulder, Colorado; grandchildren, Gretchen Brownstein of Australia, Anna Kiliona and husband Joel Kiliona of Washington, and Emily Huxter and Douglas Huxter of British Columbia.
