Jack E. Kennedy, Jr.

Jack E. Kennedy, Jr. passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at his home in Jackson at the age of 35 years. He was born November 10, 1975 to Jack and Madeline Kennedy in San Diego, CA. The family moved to Amador County in 1983. Jack attended local schools, graduating from Argonaut High School with honors in 1993. Jack excelled in high school, not only in his college prep classes but also at the saxophone and in the offensive lineman #76 on the football field. He had a great love of the sport and could remember every down he ever played. While playing sax for the high school band he was also learning to play guitar and sing. Jack attended CSU, Chico graduating with his Bachelor's in English in 2000. For a brief time he was a substitute teacher in Amador County for all grades and as much as he enjoyed that, his real love was entertaining people, sharing his music and life with others. Jack was very well read; most recently he was fascinated with alternate history books. He was a consummate sports fan. Jack Sr.'s friends loved having him at games because of his vast knowledge of stats, it was like having their own personal sports analyst. Jack loved people, friends, family, arts, music and literature and children, just about everything except dogs. He is survived by his dad, Jack E. Kennedy Sr. of Jackson; sisters, Kathleen Kennedy of Highland, CA, Mary Ann Sims of Monterey, CA; uncles, James Kennedy of Sacramento, CA and Jeff Kennedy of Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his mom, Madeline in 2004. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life, Friday, August 5, 2011, 1:30 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson.
