Col. Jack Dean Lander, 91, of Denver, passed away on April 14, 2014. Col. Lander is survived by his wife of 68 years, Grace Irene, children, Janice (Larry) Novak of Aurora, CO, Jack Dean Lander, Jr. of Gold Hill, OR, Cynthia (Woody) Tarango of Parker, CO, daughter-in-law, Jill Wilson Lander of Santa Cruz, CA, son-in-law, Pete Silbernagle of Forest Lake, MN. Grandchildren, Kimberly (David) Kilmer of Aurora, CO, Michael Novak of Aurora, Jack D. Lander III of Gold Hill, OR, Kira Lander of Harrisonburg, VA, Matthew Silbernagle of Forest Lake, MN, Seth Silbernagle of Kennesaw, GA, Anthony (Sandy) Tarango of Ft. Collins, CO, Christopher Tarango of Aurora, CO and Jacqueline Tarango also of Aurora, CO. Great-Grandchildren, Kaylyn, Jacob and Madison Kilmer of Aurora, CO, Brandon and Hannah Tarango of Ft. Collins, CO. As a Retiree, Col. Lander served 31+ years in the United States Air Force. His wife, Grace, is a Veteran of the United States Navy. Col. Lander was preceded in death by his parents, Leabert and Myrtle Lander, brother, Charles Lander, daughter, Lisa Marie Lander, daughter Lea Silbernagle, and son, Charles "Chuck" Lander, and daughter-in-law, Sandy Lander. A Family Visitation will be held at Ponderosa Valley Funeral Services on Monday, April 21, 2014, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with Graveside Services at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, 10:15 a.m. at Staging Area "C". Full Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force. Service Information
