Surrounded by family and friends, Jack Thomas Rosi died November 1, 2013 in Olympia, Washington. Jack was born December 24, 1925 in Tacoma, Washington, to Fern and Arturo Rosi. His family moved to Aberdeen in 1935 to open Tuscano Italian Restaurant. Jack had fond memories as a child during prohibition, working in the family business and occasionally riding along with his Uncle Buck, delivering libations to area establishments. Jack graduated in 1944 from Weatherwax High School and then went into the Army, where he served in Okinawa during World War II. He was awarded a bronze star and received an honorable discharge. After the service, he returned to Aberdeen and worked at ITT Rayonier until his retirement in 1988. He married Alma Green in 1948 and later divorced in 1977. During that time, they raised four children, Jacqueline, Tom, Richard, and Patricia. Jack married Dorothy Kennedy in 1978 and added four more children to his family, Lisa Yonich, Chuck Kennedy, Mike Kennedy, and Kathy Marlow. In 1990, Jack and Dottie moved to Oakland Bay in Shelton, Washington, where they lived until recently. Jack enjoyed cars (especially Corvette), traveling, working in the yard, and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion and Faith Lutheran Church in Shelton. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gary Rosi; his sister, Chickee; granddaughter, Jodie Jacobs; and son, Richard Rosi. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Olympia; brother, Bob Rosi of Denver, Colorado; children, Jacqueline Stone, Tom (Donna) Rosi, and Patricia (Nate) Whorton; stepchildren, Lisa (Dave) Yonich, Chuck (Diane) Kennedy, Mike Kennedy, and Kathy (Dave) Marlow.
