Jackie Dale Dorton

Jackie Dale Dorton, age 63, of Duffield, VA, went to be with his Heavenly Father at 3:00 am on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. He was preceded in death by his son, Darin Scott Dorton. Survivors left behind of Mr. Dorton include his loving wife of 44 years, Louise Dorton; 2 daughters, Kristi Bethann Dorton and Melanie Joy Lester (Joshua); 2 precious grandchildren he adored, Andrew Carter and Mattie Alexa Lester; sister, Doris McDavid (Vernon); brother, Troy Dorton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Flossie and Buddy Phillips and Daryle and Margaret Hurd. A graveside service will be held in memory of Jackie at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Hill-Carter Family Cemetery in Duffield, VA with Rev. T.J. Hood, Rev. Terrie Rhoton and Rev. Daryle Hurd officiating. Special singing will be provided by Durham's Chapel Quartet, Tim Adams and Pa's baby girl, Mattie Lester.
