Jackie "Jack" Merwin Manning
January 12th, 1931 - February 5th, 2013
Jackie "Jack" Merwin Manning, 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 5th 2013 after a brief illness. Jackie was born in Fowlerville, Michigan. The family will receive friends and celebrate the life of Jack at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home from 6:00 - 7:30 pm on Monday, February 11, 2013. Jack served in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean conflict. After military service, Jack graduated from Michigan State University. After graduating Jack went to work for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He retired with over 20 years of service. Jack is survived by his two sons, Dave Manning of Whitsett and Derek Manning and his wife, Terri of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Manning; a sister, Linda (Jake) Allshouse of Fowlerville, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation at P.O. Box 6062, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6662 or Special Olympics call 1-800-700-8585, ext. 1373, in honor of his grandson Christopher.
