July 21st, 1935 - December 17th, 2009
Obituary Jackie White, 74, of Lexington, died December 17, 2009, at Kindred Acute Care in Louisville, KY after complications from surgery on September 28, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He retired from Metro/City of Lexington after 25 years of service in maintenance. Earlier in life Jackie was a horseman and never relinquished his love of the sport of horse racing. For several years he participated in research at the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging and the University of Kentucky Alzheimer's Disease Center. He has now given the ultimate gift of his body to further it's research. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Mae White, and siblings Woody, Bob, Rosie, Jean, Buddy and Bea. He is survived by two sisters, Wendy Roberts of Valparaiso, IN; and Betty Leet, of LaGrange, KY; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Graveside Service will be conducted at a later date with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lexington. There Jackie will rest with his mother, father, younger brother and two young nieces.
