Jacob "Jake" Alves Bregante

Jacob Bregante, the beloved son of Richard and Judy Bregante, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 9. Jake was 31 years old. He was survived by his two sisters, Gabrielle Summers and her husband John, their daughters, Gianna and Siena, and Jessy Varela and her husband, Tony and their daughters, Franky and Charley. His loves were making music, bass fishing, cheering on the 49'ers, with whom he, and the "Bregante boys," his cousins, would gather together to cheer on. Jake had a strong faith, loved being at Mass, getting his hugs from Father Ron Shirley. His greatest love was his family, which he expressed often. Jake had a charm all his own, and a big loving heart. He will be remembered for his warmth and high-spirited energy, and will be missed by all his family and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in his honor at Resurrection Church in Aptos at 11:30 on Saturday, March 21.
