Frankfort - Jacob Andrew Coulter, 22, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at his home in Shelbyville, Ky. Born on December 31, 1995, Jacob was the first son of Gayle Coulter Deaton, of Shelbyville, and Charles Coulter, of Louisville; and big brother to Carson Maxwell Coulter, 19. In addition to his parents and brother, he is survived by her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Tarter, Louisville; his paternal grandfather, James William (Bonnie) Coulter, Bardstown; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Chance, Louisville; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jacob had so many talents but being generous with his heart and his time is something that made him exceptional. He would come to anyone's rescue if asked, and was sensitive enough to know when someone needed his help to volunteer even if they didn't ask. He loved animals, and he had great artistic talent that he underplayed despite winning an art contest with a sketch he drew in an after-school program at Second Street School. He also enjoyed playing keyboards and guitar and had obtained a certificate in filmmaking. He had so many plans for his life and was excited about creating his first indie film, pursuing an MBA and a law degree as well as obtaining his pilot's license. He was close to completing his bachelor's degree when he passed away. Funeral services will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd followed by a reception in Jacobs honor. Visitation will be held from 4:30pm until 6:30pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
