VonDeLinde Jacob “Bud” Age 98 Of St. Paul Passed away peacefully on September 21, 2018 at Rose of Sharon of Roseville. Jacob was born August 15, 1920. Longtime east side resident and retiree of 3M after 37 years. Also a resident of Wright, MN from 1978 to 2006. He is preceded in death by loving wife of 61 years, Helen (Borglund); brother Rod; sisters Katherine Rathjen and Mary Lake; grandson Brian. Survived by sons Dennis (Lila), Richard (Mary), Jim (Diane), Warren (Jeannie), John (Sue); daughter Nancy (Joe) Polencheck; grandchildren Karen, Christine, Dan, Jeff, Lisa, Dana, Cody, April, Aaron, Amanda, Peter, Tyler, Ben; great grandchildren Kelsey, Hannah, Brady, Nick, Scott, Eden, Elise, Jack, Jude, Antonio, Eero; former daughter-in-law Judy; brother -in-law Curt Lake; sister-in-law Mary Jo Monson; many loving relatives and close friends. Throughout Jacob's life, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, traveling, fishing, gardening, agate hunting, berry pickin', carpentry, woodworking, senior activites, quiltmaking and was an avid sports fan. Jacob was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend. He was hardworking and caring, and touched many lives with his wisdom, wit, skills and a helping hand. A special thank you to the staff of Brighton Hospice, St. Louis Park. Funeral Service Saturday (10/6) 11:00 AM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 674 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Visitation Friday 5-7 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, and one hour prior to Service at church. Burial and Memorial Service in Wright, MN will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
