Jacqueline Leah McKee Benson, 78 of Reynolds Creek Murphy, Idaho passed away suddenly on Friday April 12, 2024.

Jackie was born on October 10, 1945 to Russell and Ann McKee.  In 1947 Russ and Ann purchased land in the Owyhee mountains of Reynolds Creek where Jackie roamed horseback as the little redheaded mountain princess.

After graduating in 1964 from Kuna High School, Jackie married Doyle Caldwell and had her 2 sons, Barry and Todd Caldwell.

In 1975 she married Bobby Benner and had her daughter Rachelle Benner (Fahey).

It wasn’t until later in life did Jackie marry her forever love, Tom Benson, with whom she spent 29 years with.

Jackie found joy in gardening, watching her grandkids sporting events (football was her favorite), canning, baking, working around her beautiful place and later in life found an interest in politics.

She was predeceased by her parents, multiple siblings and many dear friends.

Jackie is survived by her husband Tom Benson, her children Barry (Elizabeth) Caldwell, Todd (Malea) Caldwell, Rachelle (Jeff) Fahey, her grandchildren Bethany Fahey, Landon Darst, Jeff and Dylan Fahey., 

A celebration of life and potluck will be held at the Owyhee County Museum on Saturday May 18, 2024 at 1pm.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations please be made in Jackie’s honor to the Owyhee County Museum.

A very special thank you to MRW, Marsing Ambulance, and Neva Miller for taking special care of her.
