Jacqueline Elizabeth Betz, 79, of Mountain Home, Idaho. Passed away in her home, with family close by, on March 16, 2024. Jackie was born to Jack and Dorothy Snow on August 8, 1944, in Albany California. She was raised in Oakland, California, until moving to Sacramento where she met the love of her life, Donald Betz. They married on May 30, 1964. The two later separated, but never stopped being friends and raising their sons together. Jackie later moved to Oregon with her two sons where she worked with computers. Jackie moved back to California in the late 90’s where she worked as a newspaper editor. When she retired, she moved to Arizona to be with her son David. Jackie joined her son and daughter-in-law (Brandie) on a final move to Mountain Home February 2022. Jackie believed in living life to the fullest. She loved to collect teddy bears, listening to music while cooking, and caring for plants. She loved the color lavender/purple. Jackie had two sons; David William Betz of Mountain Home Idaho, and Paul Steven Betz. Two sisters, Norie Hadley and Jaime Gan. Two brothers; David and Arnold. All of whom gave her 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. David's Children: Nichole Betz of Olympia, Washington, Kyle Betz of Warnsburg, Missouri, Kelsie Betz of Puyallup, Washington, and Micheal Neatherly of Denver, Colorado. Great-Grandaughter Brooklyn McReynlolds. Great grandsons Hendrix John Micheal Betz, and Cash Levi-Lynn Vandewater. Paul's Children: Steven and Brandy Betz from Randall, Washington. Andrew Betz and Alden Betz from Oregon. Jackie has 2 step-grandchildren. Fred and Maddie Green of Yelm Washington, and their daughter Oakley May. Hannah and Ben Gore of Redmond Washington, who are soon to be married. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her son Paul Steven Betz, and her two Brothers. Jackie was loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.

As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
