Jaime Gaskin

To the great sorrow of family and friends, Jaime Kathleen Gaskin, of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2019. Jaime, a resident of Santa Fe, graduated from Santa Fe High School and continued her education earning a Bachelor Of Arts Degree in Anthropology as well as a Master of Arts degree in Native American Culture and Education from the University of Arizona and pursued a PhD in the same field from the University of Arizona. Jaime's passion not only included the advancement of Native American education, but was also a talented musician, actress, golfer, amateur ornithologist and a fantastic cook. Jaime is survived by her half-sisters Shirlee Ward (Jim) and Mary D'Atri. nieces Debbie Johnson, Kim DIBiaggio (Dave), Michelle VanDenBerghe (Bo), Janece McClung (Scott), and Dawn D'Atri-Fischer (Stefan) nephews Bob Ward (Kathy), David Anderson, (Jeanie) and life-long friends Michelle (Miki) Holt Costley and Richard Sanchez, her god-children Hillary Dvorkina nd Paul Chambers Jr, plus numerous cousins, great nephews and nieces and great great-nephews and nieces. And beloved Mark, her cockatiel. Jaime was preceded in death by her mother, Emily Gaskin, father, Jim Gaskin, husband, Hank Eyrich, half-sister Sandra Perkins, niece Lori Lee, nephews Doug Anderson and Alec D'Atri, great nephews James Gallegos and Robbie Ward and, of course, her beloved pets Chico and Elmo. A memorial service will be held on May 25, 2019 at 12:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe with a reception following the service. Parking is available at the convention center across the street.
