Jim Acres died November 17, 2011 due to complications from liver problems. Jim was born on March 3, 1950 in Ottawa, Canada, the first born to Harold and Dorothy Acres. In 1960, the Acres family moved to Longview, Washington where Jim’s father worked for Weyerhauser Company. In 1973, Jim graduated from the University of Portland with a major in Drama and a minor in Teaching. He enjoyed directing and teaching drama at La Salle High School. In 1980 Jim met his future wife Patti Winn. Jim was a top sales manager for Wright Line Furniture Company but his true passions were always acting, music, cars and making people laugh. Jim will be remembered for his service to people and his love for life. He is survived by his wife Patti; brother, Robert; and many dear friends and family members. Cards and donations may be sent to his wife at PO Box 1092 Silverton, Oregon 97381. A potluck Celebration of Life for Jim will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 at 1530 Pine Street Silverton, OR 97381 Arrangements by Autumn Funerals, Cremation & Burial, Tigard, Oregon.
