James Andrus-Greaby

James was born and raised in Portland. He graduated in the class of 1966 from Jefferson High School. At Jefferson he was in the A Cappella Choir, Les Chanteurs and on the swim team. He studied Business at Portland State University. He enjoyed his 35 years of employment, at what is now Con-way Inc. He excelled at troubleshooting accounting systems. He enjoyed many summers camping in the vacation trailer and trips to the beach, with his parents and siblings. James loved his family. He enjoyed spending holidays with family and keeping up with the nieces and nephews by attending birthday parties. He loved to spend time with his grandmother playing cards. He brought his boat to the family vacations on Lake Cavanaugh, providing great memories for the family. He was an avid Blazer Fan and Fire Fan. He coached kids soccer and enjoyed watching local professional and collegiate soccer. He enjoyed caring for many cats during his life. He liked going to the movies. He survived 45 years with Type I Diabetes and all the complications it caused. He had a big heart, he was usually looking ahead, and was a good keeper to those close to him. He is survived by his spouse Holly, sister Sharon and Brothers John and Mark; Uncle to Jennifer, Rob, Eric, Ben, Kristine, and Danielle. He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Bert Greaby and his Aunt Maggie. No service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Diabetes Association.
