James Hilton Ballew
November 8th, 1946 - May 3rd, 2024
James Hilton Ballew, 77, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024. He was born on November 8, 1946 in Frankfort, KY to the late Maude Long and Preston Ballew. Mr. Ballew had worked for AOC as a computer programmer and was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing and shooting. Those left to cherish his memory includes his nephew, who was more like a son, James "Griff" (Autumn) Howard; great niece and nephew, Eva Howard and Preston Howard In addition to his parents, Mr. Ballew is preceded in death by his two dogs, Pilgram and Lollypop. At 18 months old, he was diagnosed with polio and in the early 90’s he was diagnosed with post-polio syndrome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to March of Dimes. At this time, no services are planned.
