James Patrick Bond
March 24th, 1943 - February 28th, 2018
Bond, James (Jim) "The Original 007" of Melbourne, Florida (previously of Waterford, Michigan) passed away on February 28, 2018 at the age of 74. James retired from General Motors in Pontiac, Michigan where he worked as an Electrician over 40 years. He spent 4 years as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force working on the B-58 Hustler from 1964 to 1968. He moved to Melbourne, Florida in 2002 and has worked part-time in the electrical department at Home Depot since the Melbourne store opened. James is survived by his wife Rosemary, children James Jr. and Katherine (son in-law Kurt Grocholl), grand daughter Marisa, step-grandson Kristopher Grocholl, brothers Fredrick and Ralph, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Sweetie. Everyone who knew James knows that he had a fun personality, was always smiling, and outgoing. He will be greatly missed! Funeral visitation will be held on Monday March 5, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at Beach Funeral Home (east location) at 1689 South Patrick Dr., Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937 http://www.beachfuneralhome.com Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 6, 2018 at 11am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Highway A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903. A grave side service with military honors will follow the church ceremony at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754. Memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society https://www.nationalmssociety.org or the ASPCA https://www.aspca.org
