Online Obituaries for Frankfort, KY James Findley Brawner, 72, husband of Wanda Tracy Brawner, passed away on June 13, 2016. He was born in Frankfort to the late Alice Lee Gibson Brawner and Jestus "Bunt" Brawner Sr. on July 26, 1943. Findley was in the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War, and was a retired engineer from IBM Lexmark. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Father Frank Vincent Brawner, Winchester; James Alan Brawner, Lexington; step daughter, Melinda (Carey) Thomason of Stamping Ground; step son Troy (Shelley) Brewer, Frankfort; two sisters, Judith (Vincent) Massey, Washington, and Rebekah (Steve) Collins, Frankfort; brothers, Philip Wayne Brawner, Tennessee, and John Leland (Marcia) Brawner, Frankfort; special sister-in-law, Judy (Buddy) Penn, Frankfort; 3 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers J.C. (Suzanne) Brawner, Harold Brawner, and Frank Brawner. Funeral Information Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, June 17, 2016 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road with Reverend William Hartung officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Father Frank Brawner, Alan Brawner, Robert Collins, Nicholas "Nick" Brawner, Troy Brewer and Dale Penn. Honorary casketbearers will be Philip Brawner, John Brawner, Chris Brawner, Scott Brawner, Kevin Brawner, Buddy Penn, Steve Collins, Wally Jamison, and Patsy Ray Carter. Visitation will be Friday, June 17, 2016 from 11:00 am until start of service at the funeral home.
