James "Jimmy" Burr

James “Jimmy” Lee Burr, 84, went to be with the Lord November 22, 2018. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be 11:00 AM Wednesday November 28, 2018 at Antioch United Methodist Church in Belews Creek, NC. Jimmy was born to the late Evelyn Hester Burr and Robert Burr on June 4, 1934 in Alamance County, North Carolina. Jimmy worked for Reynolds Tobacco for many years until his retirement. He relocated to Florida after his retirement and started working as a School Bus Driver. Jimmy was very loved by everyone in his Life. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Lasley Burr; daughter, Jane Burr; son, Gary Burr; brother, Donald Burr, and many other loved ones waiting for him in Heaven. Survivors include; wife, Tina Burr; daughter, Gaile Burr; stepson, Alfonso Santos; grandson, Killyian “Boo Boo” Santos; sister, Barbara Florio; brothers, Bobby Burr and Penelope, and Edward Burr and Billie Jo; son-in-law; Eddie “Face” Lawson and many extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends from 6-8 Tuesday at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Chapel in Kernersville.
