James Adelbert Burry
May 17th, 1931 - November 10th, 2020
James A. Burry, 89, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2020 at McKee Medical Center. He was born on May 17, 1931 in Alliance, Nebraska to Lois Bethel and George Burry. He was the youngest of four brothers in five years. He married Ann Shaw on March 29, 1950 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. They had three children; Michael James Burry, Patricia Ann Donathan, and Kathryn Lois Bath. Jim worked for the Great Western Sugar Company for 24 years as an Assistant Master Mechanic. He worker in factories in Nebraska, Wyoming, Kansas and Colorado. He then went to work at Kodak in Windsor, Colorado as a Millwright and retired after 20 years. His main interests were black powder guns and mountain man rendezvous. He was very involved in the Buckskinners Club in Masonville, Colorado. He was a master craftsman and he and his wife, Ann, built an underground home in Buckskin Heights above Masonville, Colorado. He was also a very active member of the Loveland Historical Society. He and Ann loved to travel and have traveled to all fifty states as well as Canada, Mexico, and Israel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bethel and George Burry, brothers, Bernard Burry, Burdet Burry and Laurance Burry, step-brother Lynn Herdt, wife Ann Burry, and son Michael Burry. He is survived by his daughters Patricia Donathan and Kathryn Bath, grandchildren, Jacque Cotterell, James Burry, Levi Bath and Michaela Pimm, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
