James "Jim" E. Darling II
June 13th, 1978 - January 6th, 2022
Mr. James "Jim" "Jake" E. Darling, II, age 43, of Gloversville, passed away on January 6, 2022 at Albany Medical Center, Albany surrounded by his family. Born on June 13, 1978 in Syracuse, he was the son of the late, James and Rose (Wilber) Darling Sr. James was a family man who loved spending time with his wife and children. You could usually find him spending weekends camping or at the motocross track with his family. He was a dedicated friend who would help unselfishly no matter what the circumstances were. This was evident by his time dedicated to being a first responder in North Bay, NY Volunteer Fire Department. He was a hard worker and dedicated to his work as a store manager at Family Dollar in Cohoes. In addition he was previously employed with Maple Avenue Yard in Gloversville. James is survived by his wife, Tara A. Darling; his children, Justin Darling, Branden Darling, Alyssa Hart, Hailie Leto , Evan Darling, Eian Darling, Bentley Darling, Logan Darling and Lilie Darling; his granddaughter, Arabella Hart; his siblings, Margaret Witzigman, Jeff (Vicki) Witzigman, John (Phyllis) Witzigman, Rose (George) Parsons, Doris Darling, Peggy Palaka (Darling), Carole (Brian Brown) Darling, Stephen (Kitty) Darling, Les Darling, Diane Reed, Jim Bob (Amanda) Darling and Alan Darling; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and all that loved him. Arrangements are under the direction of the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville, NY 12078.
