James Paul Felion
June 15th, 1945 - May 27th, 2013
A memorial service for James Paul Felion, 67 of Chico, California will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013, 11 a.m. at the home of Dr. Kenneth & Edythe Martin, 13819 Comice Court, Chico 95973. Jim, a loving husband, father of three, grandfather of five and great grandfather of one, passed away in his sleep on May 27, 2013 with Linda, his wife of forty years by his side. Born on June 15, 1945 to Vincent and Anita Felion, Jim was one of seven siblings. He was a lifelong Chico native and graduate of Chico High School in 1963. Jim loved motorcycles from a young age. He would go on to see much of the country on his Harley, and share the thrill by taking his family on rides around town. He also loved the outdoors. Over the years he brought countless family and friends on camping trips, from Deer Creek to the Mendocino Coast, to hunt, fish or just enjoy each others company by campfire. Jim was at his best when making people smile. Everywhere he went he made new friends. His family loved him for his kindness and quick wit. Known as the 7up man to many, his sales job kept him active in the community, and even in retirement he made his rounds to visit those he had met years before. Jim was truly loved and will be missed. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Jim’s name may be made to Hooked on Fishing in care of Affordable Mortuary who are handling the arrangements.
