James A Fielder
July 1st, 1931 - September 26th, 2016
James A Fielder, Jr, age 85, of Clewiston, passed away September 26, 2016 in Clewiston. He was born July 1, 1931 in Newaygo, MI, to James A and Vivian Thelma (Hester) Fielder, Sr. James married Shirley Royals. He worked for United States Sugar Corporation as a Ranch Superintendent for many years, and then later he worked as an auxiliary Hendry County Sheriff Deputy for 25 years. He was a member of the Florida Cattleman's Association, VFW, Elks Lodge, and Glades Electric Charitable Board, served on the Southwest Florida Charity Commission. James leaves behind his wife of over 28 years Shirley Fielder, children; Terrel, Lizann, Lynn, step-children; Ray, Sherry and Sandra, fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, and one sister; Letha Sparks. James was preceded in death by his son; Robert Fielder. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Clewiston, Clewiston with Pastor Edward Green officiating. Interment will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Ortona Cemetery, Moore Haven. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Clewiston, FL.
