James F. Gardner, 79, of Pinellas Park, FL, died Monday, February 4, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Sprucepine, NC, moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1987 from Riverdale, MD, and moved to Pinellas Park in 2000. He was the Owner of Gardner's Communications in Hyattsville, MD. He was a member of the Gideons International and was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir and active in their nursing home ministries. He is survived by five daughters, Patricia Ann Sherman of Johnston, RI, Mildred F. DuVall of Chester, MD, Sandra J. Flaherty of Swan Point, MD, Shyrel M. Matthews of Crownsville, MD, Faye Haymans of North Beach, MD; two sons, Robert J. Gardner of Hagerstown, MD, Randy V. Pomfrey of Crofton, MD; one brother, Carl Gardner of McLean, VA; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Mildred; son James, and a granddaughter, Sarah. A memorial service will be at Liberty Baptist Church in St. Petersburg at a later date.
