James I. Harman (“Big Jim”), loving husband to Sue Harman, passed away August 30, 2015, in Springfield, Virginia at the age of 88. Born in Philadelphia, PA, in 1927, “Big Jim” served in the U.S. Merchant Marines (1944-1945) and the U.S. Navy (1945 – 1949), and was involved in the A-Bomb tests in the Bikini Islands. “Big Jim” always had a story to tell. He will be missed. “Big Jim” is survived by his wife, Sue Harman, Richard Harman (son), Susan Coffenberry, (daughter), Charles Harman (son), James Harman, Jr. (son), Douglas Harman (son), 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
