Oak Park Hills Chapel

Oak Park Hills Chapel has proudly served families throughout Contra Costa County, California, for over 60 years. Our business' history begins when Roger Magleby, who was a pioneer in air-sea scatterings and a pilot, established our business in what was once a military medical staging and processing building for Camp Stoneman in Pittsburg, California. Ever since, we've had a special relationship with our military families and we are proud to be certified as Veterans Funeral Specialists.

Guarino(Gary) Seraly

My name is Gary Seraly and I grew up near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I reported to the Naval Academy in July 1957 and was assigned to the 3rd Company. I am privileged to say I was assigned to room with Jim. Between July of 1957 and June of 1958, I grew to respect and admire Jim for his athletic ability. He proved over an over again his expertise in shot put, discus and the hammer throw. He not only was a good athlete but was a model roommate. My deepest sympathy goes out to all the Hart family. May God’s healing touch be with all of you. Eternal rest grant unto Jim, O Lord. May he rest in peace. Amen. Guarino (Gary) J. Seraly USNA 1961

DANIEL SCHROEDER

Met Jim in 1956 when we attended the Naval Academy Prep School prior to being appointed to attend the Naval Academy. Jim was a highly respected member of the Third Company. Of course following graduation in 1961, he went back to the Marine Corps where he served with distinction. He was dedicated to his sport and participated in it to his being a Senior Olympian. He is remembered with fondness and he will be missed.
