James "Jimmy" V. Harty
August 10th, 1966 - January 21st, 2019
James V. Harty, age 52 of the Oak Valley Section of Deptford, NJ passed on January 21, 2019. A kind and loving man, Jimmy dedicated his life to his family. He was a 1985 graduate of Deptford High School and a lifelong resident of Oak Valley. Jimmy had a great spirit about life and always thought of others before himself. He loved life and adored his family and friends. Jimmy was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, enjoyed the casinos, coupon clipping, cooking and watching movies. He was lovingly known as a thoughtful and inspirational man. Jimmy will be missed deeply by his loved ones. Son of the late William, Sr. and Barbara A. Bennett and step-father Gordon Bennett; dear brother of Barbara Berger (Jeffrey), Deborah Cappella (the late Michael) and the late William, Jr.; cherished uncle of David (Krissy) and Andrew; Jimmy is survived by Uncle Tom and many cousins and friends. Jim’s Viewing will be held on Friday from 6:30pm to 9pm and Saturday from 9am to 10am at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ. Funeral Mass will follow 11am at Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret’s Church, 3rd and Beech Sts., Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097. Internment private at the request of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jimmy’s name to American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr. Ste 900, Arlington, VA 22202, or to the donation of your choice. share the memories … share love … ShareLife® at www.mcgfuneral.com
