James "David" David Hoagland

James "David” Hoagland, 29, of Greeley, passed away on December 30, 2019 in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to Miriam Lane on September 24, 1990 in San Diego, California and adopted by Bob and Laurette Hoagland soon after. David went to Monte Vista High School in San Diego and later became a chef for various restaurants. David was outgoing and friendly with a tender heart. He inherited a rare gift of music from his biological mother Miriam, with the ability to pick up any stringed instrument and play it well. He had a contagious sense of adventure and was loved deeply by his adoptive and biological families. But the last few years of his life, David had a real struggle with addiction, which took him away from the people who loved him. David is survived by his biological mother, Miriam Lane, his siblings, biological brother Daniel Hoagland and adoptive sister Shawna (Alex) Uskokovic, and his adoptive parents Bob and Laurette Hoagland.
