James “Jim” Walter Hoyer passed from this life on July 31, 2010. He was born June 10, 1942, in Los Angeles, California, to Hans Walter Hoyer and Kathryn May Waller. The family moved to Fresno, California, and Jim attended school there. After school, he joined the Air Force and served for a time in Japan during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Air Force, Jim moved to Denver, Colorado, where he worked as a car salesman and a mobile home salesman for many years. He loved sports, especially football. He met and married Mary Alice Pierce and they were blessed with two wonderful daughters, Kristen and Katrina. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Jacqueline (Marvin) Scheidt of Fresno, California, a half-brother, David Hevle of Fresno, California, his daughters, Kristen and Katrina Hoyer, and a granddaughter, Autumn Wallace. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at the Living Water Unity Church at 7401 West 59th Avenue Arvada, CO 80003.
