James "Jimmy" Howard Ishee, Jr

May 15th, 1956 - September 4th, 2024

James Howard Ishee Junior passed away on September 4, 2024. Jimmy was a lifelong sports fan, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves. He played sports at local ballparks and in school and was quite talented. His talents extended off the field to music, where he found he could play many instruments by ear. When he was young he wrote music. He played the guitar and sang his entire life. He even had a guitar in his hospital room at the very end. He had several dogs throughout his life, and they were his children. He loved each one dearly and grieved the loss of each one. He is now united with his precious animals. He is also reunited with all the ones who have gone before him, including his parents, James Howard Ishee Senior and Jacquelynn Ann Hearn Ishee, his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, one nephew, and long-time companion Felicia. He is survived by four sisters, Peggy (Earle) Foskett, Julie (Doug) Martin, Katie Baluyut, Jenifer Ishee, 6 nieces, 5 nephews, great nieces and nephews, many cousins, and 1 aunt. The family would like to thank the staff of South Coast Global Hospital and his friends who were there for him. In lieu of flowers, if it gives you joy to do so, the family suggests a donation to The Humane Society, a local animal shelter in your area, or your favorite charity.

I am so glad you are at peace now and I can only imagine what it must have been like to see all the fur babies you loved so much as well as Felicia and all the rest of the family. We messaged about that back and forth a few times and now faith is sight. Thoughts of love sent to you and all our family, till we all have our faith turned to sight.
