James Martin Jensen

James Martin Jensen born 9/9/1942 went to meet his Lord 1/5/2024. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James LeRoy Jensen and Mary Jane Nordland Jensen. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judi Ingraham Jensen and his son, James Russell Jensen and siblings Jonathan Jensen(Charlotte), David Jensen(Immy), Mary Amsden (Howard), Ann Haugh (Bill); in-law-s, Rusty Ingraham (Ann), Stephen Ingraham (Barabara), Julie Ingraham Jaroski, David Ingraham (Mari), Diane Ingraham Oliphant. He has 21 loving nieces and nephews in addition to their spouses and children. Jim was a friend to all, a lifelong learner as evidenced by Minnehaha Academy, BS (Wheaton College), MA (U of Minnesota), MHA (U of Minnesota) and JD (Chicago-Kent School of Law). He served in the US AirForce at the headquarters of the Tactical Air Command, Langley AFB, Virginia and in the Air National Guard, Fresno, CA achieving the rank of Captain. Jim’s career in Health Care Management included senior management positions in acute hospitals, medical groups, multi-level retirement services, and long term care. After 40 years he called on his extensive experience to serve as an interim nursing home administrator in California and Arizona. In addition to active participation in professional affiliations, Jim was an avid traveler, photographer, and choir member. In any setting Jim brought out the best in others with his genuine listening and encouragement. Services at Faith Presbyterian Church, Sun City, AZ are pending. Memorials are welcome at Faith Presbyterian or Wheaton College.
