James Glenn Jones
September 24th, 1956 - May 22nd, 2020
James Glenn Jones, 63, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord suddenly on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was raised in Church Hill. James worked at Hawkins County Press and AGC Hawkins County Plant before his retirement. He attended Liberty Baptist Church on Carters Valley. James was a wonderful and cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. James is preceded in death by his father, Clyde W. Jones; mother, Estallee Jones; father in-law, Charles R. Bruner; and mother in-law, Laura Bruner. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Teresa Jones of the home; son, James David Jones of Blountville, TN; daughter, Amanda Cooter (Joe) of Church Hill, TN; daughter, Michelle Ansboro (Randy) of Greenville, TN; daughter, Megan Walker (Sierra) of Guthrie, OK; grandkids, Kayla, Ethan, Noah, Chloe, Lily, and Laura; sister, Judy Hart (Cecil) of Rogersville, TN; niece, Ginger Rowlett of Church Hill, TN; nephew, Steve Rowlett (Donna) of Kingsport, TN; along with several friends and his loving church family. He will also be greatly missed by his best friend his dog, Bear. The family will receive friends from 5PM to 6PM on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Liberty Baptist Church (3005 W Carters Valley RD, Church Hill, TN 37642). A celebration of life service will follow with Bro. Larry Anderson and Bro. Terry Mellons. Music will be performed by Audrey Mellons Coffey. Now we want him to “Go Rest High on That Mountain” His wife, Teresa, would like to express a special thank you to the ICU Nursing staff at Holston Valley. They were her family when her family couldn’t be there. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James’s memory may be made to a charity or church of your choice. Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Jones Family.
