James William Jones, 72, of Melbourne, FL passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 in the Wuesthoff Hospice House, Rockledge, FL. Born on December 18, 1941 in Decatur, GL, he was the son of John Arvin and Ruby Margaret Jones. Jim was a McMillan graduate of Englewood HS in Jacksonville, FL and a student at Jacksonville University. He worked as a Sales Representative for Nabisco Biscuit Company for 34 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, a high school football official for 20 years in Orangeburg, SC. He was also a Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America, for which he was given the Silver Beaver Award, recognizing his 20 years of dedication and service. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Donald Schramer. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jones; his son John Jones and daughter-in-law Pam Hull Jones, and grandsons Tucker and Collin of Greenville, SC; Daughter Mary Ann Edsall, grandson Ryan and granddaughter Megan of Monmouth, OR. A memorial service will be held at The Springs of Suntree Clubhouse located at 8300 Holiday Springs Rd, Melbourne, FL 32940, at 1:00 PM Saturday April 19th. Funeral arrangements made by Beckmann Williamson Funeral Home of Viera, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to either MD Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando, FL, [email protected] or to Wuesthoff Hospice House, 661 Eyster Blvd, Rockledge FL 32955
