James F. Kern, 42, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Kern was born September 1, 1970 in Fort Myers, Florida to James H. and Georgian E. Kern. He was the owner and operator of Nativeson Apparel and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Jim was always ready to lend a helping hand, loved to fish, was loved by many, and will be missed greatly by his family and many friends. Mr. Kern is survived by his mother, Georgian; brothers, Michael and John Kern; one niece and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad, Jim. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11:00AM on Friday, November 9, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Avenue in Port Charlotte.
