Age 69 Of St. Paul, MN Born March 7, 1948 in Mitchell, SD to Chris & Leona Kolasch. Went to be with our Lord on August 16, 2017. Died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Grew up & spent most of his life in Sioux Falls, SD. Spent the last years of his life living in St. Paul, MN. Preceded in death by his parents Chris & Leona; brothers Richard Swanhorst & Reuben Kolasch; nephews Troy & Paul Meinerts. Survived by wife Muriel Kolasch; 4 daughters Heather (Tom) Dauw, Holly (Ignatius) Eghobamien, Hilary (Nathan) Bloss & Heidi (Tony) Cha; sister Barb Meinerts; 10 grandchildren Madelyn Lee, Kayla Cha, Allison Cha, Brandon Eghobamien, Sarah Dauw, Jenna Bloss, Sidney Eghobamien, Kyson Cha, Ethan Bloss & Adam Dauw. Funeral service Monday (8/21) 1:00 PM at REDEEMER BAPTIST CHURCH, 2479 Geneva Ave. N, Oakdale. Visitation Sunday 6-8 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, & one hour prior to service at church. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations in memory of James to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
