James William “Billy” Level, Jr. – Lexington – A Celebration of Life service for James William “Billy” Level, Jr., 62, of Lexington will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Interment, with USAF honors and Masonic rites, will follow the service in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington. Billy Level passed away February 20, 2020 at his residence. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Bettie Lucas Level and the late James William Level, Sr. Billy was a USAF veteran, serving at Eielson AFB in Fairbanks, AK, and at Shaw AFB in Sumter. He was an Engineer with the City of Columbia Fire Department for 14 years. Billy was also a 25 year Mason with the Sinclair Masonic Lodge #154. Billy was light in spirit, and was always smiling and laughing. He never met a stranger. Billy was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him. Billy is survived by his mother; loving wife of 9 years, Miranda Hollingsworth Level, of the home; daughter, Victoria F. Level; son, Samuel M. Level, Sr.; grandson, Samuel M. Level, Jr., all of Oregon; 2 sisters, Cyndi LaPrade (Thurman), Wendi Mullinax (Rick); 2 nieces, Hannah and Kathryn; and an extended loving family, including mother and father-in-law, George and Sandra Hollingsworth, and brother-in-law, Kirk Hollingsworth. Billy is also survived by his loving poodles, Laysey, Chloe, Zoelee and Queenie. In addition to his father, Billy was predeceased by his brother, Mark Level. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Donate Life SC, 22 Centre East – 4200 East North Street, Greenville, SC 29615.
